A "Comment Candy" Winner!

Holy smokes, where does the time go?  How many of you remember that I give away "Comment Candy" for every 1000 comments?  Well, I haven't been keeping very good track of it, and realized this morning that I was 58 comments beyond 6000!  So I just spent a minute or two counting back, and have a winner.  Comment #6000 was left by my friend and fellow Kitchen Sink Crew/Paper Craft Super Nova member Lori Tecler who left this comment on my Kitchen Sink Monday post earlier this week!

I just LOVE doing Candy this way, because it rewards all of you who are my faithful readers and who are so wonderful at leaving me comments that always make me smile, and inspire me to keep creating!  I'm going to do a little browsing in my stamp department today and see what I can find to send off to Lori!  Thank you all for your visits and comments!  Stay tuned for #7000!

Winner! Winner! Winner! (and a Fairy, too!)

OK, show of hands.... who remembers that I give away a prize for every 1,000 comments here on my blog?  Anyone???  Bueller?  Bueller?  Well, there are at least 4 people out there that I know of who won for being #1000, #2000, #3000 and #4000.  I love doing this because it's totally unexpected, and rewards those of you who regularly visit me, and leave me the nicest comments consistently.  Now actual Blog Candy contests are OK, but sometimes it seems like people just come out of the woodwork because they hear those words.  With my Comment Candy, some of my most favorite people end up being rewarded!

So, why do I mention this?  Because comment #5000 was left this morning!  And it truly is one of my most favorite people, and faithful visitors!  Barb Rose... come on down!  Here's her comment, left at 8:55 a.m. this morning...

Wow, it just blows my mind!  I started this blog on March 8, 2008 in the middle of a blizzard!  I can't believe that 5000 times you all have been nice enough to leave me the comments that you do!  It ALWAYS makes me smile!  Every comment!  Thank you to everyone, and congrats to Barb!  I will need you to email me with your mailing address.  I don't know yet what you're going to get Barb, but it'll be something!  I've got lots of new things on the way to the store in the coming week for Valentine's Day!

A quick card to share with you.  I placed my very first order with Stamping Bella last week, and my stamps came yesterday.  I could no longer resist those cute Chichiboulie Fairies!  So here's a quick card I made last night for a birthday girl I know!  This is also for the Our Creative Corner challenge from this past weekend to make a card using two shades of blue along with a neutral.  Yeah, my designer paper has a little bit of color other than blue, but I hope it passes under the Challenge Police radar!

It's hard to tell from my photo but I used a Sakura Stardust pen on the twinkles, and on her wings plus some gemstones on the twinkles, too!

Remember back in June, then again in September I awarded one lucky person who reads my blog a prize for being comment #2000 and #3000?  I love using this way to award blog candy because it allows me to give a thank you prize to those of you who are my regular readers and commentors... not someone who spends all their time stalking blogs just for the giveaways.  Well, guess what?  Comment #4000 rolled into my Inbox today!  Who could it be???

My main holiday stress is traveling in the snow..LOL! I'm sure for most it's the shopping but I've already begun. I get little bits for the kids here and there when I find it so it doesn't sneak up on me. I don't drive well in the snow and am a terrible back seat driver. I'm a bundle of nerves when we get anywhere!!!
