Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration challenge today is another beautiful combination of Stampin' Up! colors... Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Soft Sky, and Very Vanilla! Very elegant, I think along with the beautiful bedding ensemble she found that was the inspiration (seen on her blog).
Here's what I designed...
My card base is a 5x10" piece of Soft Sky, folded in half. The next layer is a 4 3/4" square piece of Close to Cocoa. I sponged Cocoa ink around all the edges, and stamped the upper half of the piece with this elegant swirl background in Versamark ink. I scalloped a piece of Soft Sky cardstock with my corner rounder, punched holes in the border, and attached it to the polka-dotted piece of Au Chocolat designer paper. I then stitched this piece to the Cocoa base with a zig-zag stitch on my sewing machine. A piece of Soft Sky stitched ribbon finishes off the base. I stamped the floral branch from Stampin' Up! Garden Silhouettes in Soft Sky ink, then over stamped that with this beautiful Friendship stamp from Paper Inspirations with Chocolate Chip ink. I sponged Soft Sky ink around the edges of the Vanilla cardstock, matted it with a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock, and attached 4 brads in each corner. This is mounted to the Cocoa base with foam squares, and the entire piece was then mounted to the card base.
