After weeks and weeks of telling myself "I am going to participate in the 'From Courtney's Closet' challenge this week!" I finally got around to completing a challenge! When I saw this picture of Libby's little girl Courtney last Thursday, I knew exactly what stamp I could use! (isn't she adorable in her fairy princess costume?!)
These sweet stamps from Stampendous were hard to resist last month for Valentine's, so I got them in stock at the store. Well, I guess no one but me thought they were cute because I still have several (I'm such a bad judge sometimes!) Well, what better way to sell stamps than to use them to make demo samples so that's what I did with this sweet princess and her knight!
I wanted this to really have some serious bling, so I pulled out my DCWV Nursery stack and found this regal-looking, glittery paper to use! My image is colored with Copics, and my fairy princess is very well coated with Angel Wings Shimmerz. My knight, his plume, and the pink hearts were colored with my Spica glitter markers. Some additional bling came from the Bazzill Bling cardstock used on my scalloped oval, and the silver brads.
Inside the card is the sentiment with some more DCWV paper and Bazzill Bling cardstock. This card turned out pretty girly, but I may save it to give to my hubby for our upcoming 19th anniversary.
I also used Jen's Sketch for You to Try from last Saturday for the layout on this card!
One more thing... I seem to be asking for prayers a lot lately but I wouldn't do it if I didn't believe it worked! About 90 minutes ago, my daughters both just came home in tears. They were at our varsity boys basketball game, which they won! The boys are one game away from going to the state tournament! Yahoo! The girls should be thrilled, so we couldn't understand why they were crying. In our school, there is a family suffering very tragically tonight. In Kelsey's 6th grade class, there is a boy named Ben. In Kaylie' 10th grade class is a boy named Nick. There is another boy in the family in 8th grade. Apparently the boys were out after school today (Wednesday) shooting targets, and the middle boy accidentally shot Nick in the head. At last report, Nick is clinging to life but not expected to make it through the night. Please, please, please... if you are so inclined say a prayer tonight for the Grande family! They desperately need it! Thanks... (Edited to add... an update on this sitation can be found here.)

Oh Tammy, I read on Sharon's blog there was a tragedy and someone needed prayers. She provided a link so I came on over. I am so, so very sorry for this poor family. I've got tears just thinking about it. I cannot imagine what that poor boy is going through who accidentally shot his brother. His family will need to keep a very close watch on him, emotionally I'm sure he will not be stable. I pray for God's miracle that the boy pulls through.
Your card is so adorable!

I also read on Sharon's blog about the need for prayer for Nick. I immediately prayed for him.
