This week, our 3-D Tuesday challenge at Paper Craft Planet is being sponsored by Kelleigh Ratzlaff from The Digi Chick!. Kelleigh has generously offered a $20 gift card to her store for the best bag! In addition, the winner will also get a $5 gift card to ANYTHING on the Digi Chick store!
These templates are AWESOME and so easy! You just print the design on to your patterned paper, cut, score and glue! Presto, you look like Martha Stewart in minutes!
If you want to get fancy, you can use digital papers and print it that way, then you always have an instant, printable, bag on hand!
I chose to print my bag on this fabulous paper I recently got from Jillibean Soup! I used the contrasting side of the paper to cut out the flap, and just adhered it over the original flap. Then I pulled out my very neglected Just Rite Stampers and added this "chocolate" medallion. I used a Velcro dot placed just under the scalloped circle to hold my bag shut. It's super-easy to create these bags, and I'm thrilled now to have this little bag handy for the next time I need a little somethin'-somethin' to give! I'll just pick up some yummy chocolates and fill up my bag!
OK, so take the challenge -- create a small gift bag, and upload it to Paper Craft Planet. Use the tag 3d11. You do NOT have to use one of Kelleigh's templates to win -- but they are so easy and fun, we know that you'll want one :) We'll pull it into the album and pull a winner next Tuesday. I can't wait to see what you make!

Greetings everyone! I've got a slightly jam-packed post for you today but I'll try to keep it brief!
Today is Color Throwdown #36 and the challenge today is being sponsored by Our Craft Lounge! We have two great stamp sets from OCL and some Sparkly Fluff to give away to one lucky participant this week, too! Be sure to stop by the Throwdown blog for all the details, and to see the cards from the other designers! My card was made using the Pat the Bad Dog stamp set I got recently! Isn't he ornery? Here's a picture of what's inside the card...
Second, we're having a Guess That Baby Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet! Be sure to check out all the details and get yourself entered for the chance to win some fabulous prizes... a great stamp set from Clear & Simple Stamps, and a $100 Amazon gift certificate! Hello??? Told you they were fabulous prizes! Additionally, I'm going to offer a 6x6 pad of Basic Grey Marrakech paper to the first person to leave a comment here and correctly guess which photo is me!
Finally, my girls over at the Copic Creations blog have their first challenge posted for today! I was unable to participate in the debut of this challenge this week since we're so busy with Anne being here with us, but please be sure to check out their fabulous creations, and make some time to play along if you can! Up for grabs to one random participant is a Momento Tuxedo Black ink pad, 5 Copic Sketch markers and a Stampavie stamp, all donated by 7 Kids College Fund!
We're still having a great time with Anne visiting us, and are heading to Amish Country on today for some sight-seeing! Anne was able to hook up her web cam and headset today and talk to her boyfriend back home through Skype, so that made her very happy!
Hope you have a great day! Happy stamping!

Anne arrived at our house at 4:00 yesterday afternoon, and has settled in nicely with our family, I think! We had a church family night at the local YMCA last night that we all went to and had a good time watching some volleyball and basketball games in progess, and sitting down to a game of Scrabble (with English and German words!) I'm not working today, and I'm not sure what our plans are but the girls want to go to the mall! I guess if I can work a trip to Archiver's into those plans, it'll be OK with me! LOL
Have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

Did you know that we recently started having a 3-D Challenge every Tuesday over at Paper Craft Planet? Today is the 4th challenge, and I am the host! For my challenge, I would like to see every one create these sweet little Scallop Patty Wrap Treat Boxes, originally designed by Cambria Turnbow! I checked with Cami and she graciously gave me the OK to use her design for the challenge today! I first made one of these little boxes last Christmas, and they're so easy, and fun you'll want to make a whole mess of 'em!
Cami's original design calls for peppermint patties sandwiched between scalloped circles, as I have done here with this cute treat box for St. Patty's Day today! It's fun to think up different ways to embellish your box! When you look at Cami's sample, you'll see she cleverly used the round tab punch from Stampin' Up! on hers! You can choose to scallop the edges, or leave them straight, too.
I also decided to make a box for Easter and instead of peppermint patties, I filled this one with chocolate eggs! There are actually 14 little eggs in this one, so it'll hold a lot!
Check out Cami's great instructions on her blog, and give this a try! Upload your basket to the gallery at Paper Craft Planet, and use 3d4 in your tag line. Then leave a link in the 3-D Tuesday Group forum so we know to check out your creation!
HAVE FUN and happy stamping! Thanks for stopping by!

The Sketch Challenge today on Paper Craft Planet is being hosted by ME, so I hope you'll play along! This sketch is based on this card that I created a few days ago with my new stamps from Taylored Expressions, but for my official challenge card today, I turned the sketch on it's side and used my beautiful new Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi-Step Tulip Garden stamps instead!
My tulip is stamped in four steps, starting with a base of SU! Cameo Coral stamped second generation. The next layer was stamped in Cameo Coral first generation. The third layer is SU! Ruby Red, and the fourth layer is SU! Cranberry Crisp. The leaves were stamped in three layers starting with SU! Gable Green stamped second generation, then Certainly Celery and then Old Olive. After cutting out the image with a long rectangle Nestabilities, I sponged Blush Blossom ink around the edges while the cardstock was still in the die.
I hope you'll make time this weekend to play along and upload your creation to Paper Craft Planet! Remember to tag your upload with SK031409 so that I can find all the cards and add them to the Sketch Challenge album! I can't wait to see what you create!
On a side note, would you please join me in giving thanks to God? My daughter Kaylie, who as you all know is a new driver, was involved in an accident on her way home from softball practice yesterday. She was on one of our country roads, and rear-ended a pick-up truck that was in front of her making a left turn. She was pretty upset, but otherwise she and a friend that was with her were uninjured. My mind will not stop wandering to what could have happened, and while we're pretty upset at her carelessness, I'm extremely grateful to be able to still wrap my arms around her today. Praise be to God!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Today it was Lori's turn to host the sketch challenge over at Paper Craft Planet, and I think she came up with a fabulous sketch! It's a great one to use if you have a small image that you never know where to use.
While we're on the subject, have you been spending some time on the Planet? Things that are new can always be tricky, but Susanna Boyd and the design team members have been working hard at changes that will make it easier to navigate. There are so many great groups that you can join, where a lot of challenges are held, and the forums have been revamped. If you haven't jetted over to the Planet in awhile, why not zoom over and check it out! And if you've got questions or problems, speak up or let me know! I'll do whatever I can to help!
Here's my card for today's sketch challenge...
I used a new set of stamps that I recently got from called Our Craft Lounge called In His Name. This set has got some awesome sentiments for Easter and sympathy in the Scriptina font that I love. There are also four beautiful crosses in the set, and a row of lilies to color. You'll love this set for Easter cards and projects!
Thanks for stopping by today, and have a beautiful Sunday!
Stamps: In His Name (Our Craft Lounge)

Inks: Versamagic Jumbo Java (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Nestabilities (Spellbinders), brad (Gary Burlin), ribbon (American Crafts), clear embossing powder (Ranger).

There's a new weekly challenge being hosted on Papercraft Planet for 3-D items! The challenge will be posted every Tuesday, and anyone is welcome to play along!
Today, Design Team Super Nova Adela Rossol is hosting the challenge, and she decided the challenge would be to alter a tin can! So I decided to make a little St. Patty's gift to have on hand for a quick gift filled with some candies! I wrapped a 15 1/2 oz. can with cardstock and designer paper, adding a scalloped border. Using my Crop-a-dile, I punched holes in each side, braided some ribbon and threaded it through the holes. I find that braiding the ribbon gives it more stability. Then I stamped my shamrock from Kitchen Sink Stamps Love & Luck stamp set, and added a sentiment from Ready 4 Any Holiday.
We really hope you'll join us for this 3-D Challenge! You can check out all the details in the 3-D Challenge group on PCP. Upload your creation to PCP, tag your photo with 3D1, then leave a link to your creation in the group thread so everyone can check it out!
I can't wait to see what you come up with! Happy stamping, and thanks for visiting today!

Lynn Mercurio is hosting the Sketch Challenge on Papercraft Planet today, and created a great sketch for you to try! Here's my card, using my new Poppy Bittybloom stamp from Stamping Bella! Upload your card to the Papercraft Planet gallery, and be sure to tag your photo with SK022109 so it can be added to the album with all the other cards for this sketch!
And here's one more card I made with my Poppy Bittybloom! I am now carrying Stamping Bella stamps at the store, so I made this card to display. I hope it'll inspire many purchases! :)
I had the chance to go to Archiver's today too, and bought a new toy... a Zutter Bind-It-All! So stay tuned to see if I actually use it! LOL
