Here is my card for the Sketch Challenge over on SCS today! I actually turned the sketch sideways, which is something I don't often do. Sometimes that's a great option when you just can't find any creative ideas with a sketch, and I forget to try that a lot!
I used three different Kitchen Sink Stamps sets for my card... the 3-Step Honey Bunny for the bunny, grass and sentiment, Playful Ovals for the little flowers, and 3-Step Hydrangea for the butterfly. The bunny sentiment is actually a straight-line sentiment, but I curved it on my acrylic block and love how it turned out!
The first 2 layers of my bunny were stamped with Going Gray from Stampin' Up! (the first layer was stamped off once). The 3rd layer was stamped with SU! Bordering Blue, and the 4th layer with Versacolor Charcoal ink. My grass was stamped in Versamagic Sage, Aloe Vera and Spanish Olive respectively. The butterfly was done in 3 layers, Colorbox Yellow Ochre, French Blue and Versamagic Aegean Blue. The bunny and butterfly are raised up on dimensional adhesives.
I used this particular Bo Bunny paper and cardstock colors because I just got this delish new faux suede ribbon from May Arts, and it matches perfectly! However, after I started putting all the elements of my card together, there wasn't anywhere to put it! :( I'll have to save the ribbon for another time!
Finally, I just have to share this cute guy with you! As many of you know, the store that I manage is also a specialty toy store. And look what we recently got in stock! Isn't he adorable? His name is Wise Guy! With owls being so popular in stamping right now, I just had to take a picture of this to show you!
Thanks for popping in today!
Stamps: see above (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Cardstock: Blue Bayou (Stampin' Up!), Lemonade, Maraschino (Bazzill), white (Gary Burlin), designer paper (Bo Bunny); Inks: Versafine Onyx Black (Tsukineko), see above for others.
P.S. Sorry if my post looks a little wonky today... Typepad made some recent changes that I'm not quite used to yet!
This is beautiful Tammy. I really need to get me some Kitchen Sink stamps!
