Every Friday I see the great sketches that Taylor comes up with for her Cupcake Challenge, and I always intend to participate but never seem to get around to it! Well, I made up for it this weekend with 2 cards! So these cards are for the Cucpake Challenge #20! Since the title of the challenge suggests the use of cupcake images (Taylor always says "not a requirement, but if you've got 'em, why not use 'em?) I used this as the perfect excuse to finally just buy the Hero Arts Cupcake set! I've been lucky enough to have several sets in stock for a few weeks now, and figured it'd be an investment. Now I can just use my own personal set for demo purposes! For this first card, I turned the sketch on it's side, and found that this Bo Bunny paper was perfect for a fun cupcake card! I think I will probably put this card up for sale in my Etsy Shop. Hopefully someone needing a card for a 1st birthday will grab it up!
For my second card, I used my Pink Cat Studio Sweet Treats stamps, and this really yummy new paper I just got from The Paper Studio. Since I couldn't bear to cover up all of the paper with the main image, I used a punched scalloped circle rather than the rectangle in the center. I blinged up the frosting on my cupcake using my Quickie Glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Both cupcakes have their bottoms paper-pieced, too! Are you hungry for cupcakes now? I'm just ready for bed! It's 2:30 a.m! If there are typos in this post it's because I'm sleepy, and I'm wearing my glasses rather than contacts, so the vision is very poor at this point! Good night! Thanks for stopping by! Card #1 - Stamps: Cupcakes (Hero Arts); Cardstock: Saltillo, Admiral (Bazzill), designer paper (Bo Bunny); Inks: Adirondack Pitch Black (Ranger), Versamagic Red Brick (Tsukineko), markers (Copic); Accessories: scalloped rectangle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), slot punch (Stampin' Up!), white dotted organdy (May Arts). Card #2 - Stamps: Sweet Treats (Pink Cat Studio); Cardstock: Basic Black, Pixie Pink (Stampin' Up!), designer paper (The Paper Studio); Inks: Adirondack Pitch Black (Ranger), markers (Copic); Accessories: ribbon slider die (Spellbinders), scalloped circle punch, circle punch (Marvy Uchida), glitter (Stampin' Up!), black dotted organdy (craft supply).
Mmmmm, they both look yummy to me! I really like Taylor's layout...I never seem to get around to playing that one!

Hi Tammy. I just started a blog and was recently tagged. According to the rules I have to tag seven more people, so consider yourself tagged! You can see the rules on my blog if you don't already know them. I'd like you to visit me anyway though!
