Many of you really enjoyed the Dress-Up Lily stamps that were released by Pink Cat Studio several months ago. And then, two months ago along came Billy! He was a super-hero, a pirate, a cowboy, and a boy with his frog! Well, now Billy has become even more characters than you can imagine with Dress-Up Billy stamps! Check around on the other design team members blogs and you'll find him as a king, an Indian, a train engineer, a Boy Scout... the possibilities are now endless!
On my first card, Billy is now the newly-appointed fire chief! He's even been in the thick of the fire today, as you can see by the soot on his face! This little guy is just perfect for my stamp collection because our good family friend (and my daughter's Godfather!) is a fire chief! I'll be giving this card to my daughter to send to Les this week for Father's Day! I paired Billy in his turn-out gear with my new Hello Sunshine paper from Cosmo Cricket. The sentiment is from the Birthday Plate #1 from Pink Cat.
For my second card, I have used my own husband as the main character! My husbands name is Bill, and he was more commonly referred to as Billy when he was younger! And even though he's no longer called Billy, and he's 45 years old, you can still find him out on the street with our girls or other neighborhood kids trying to ride a skateboard! The little boy inside of him just refuses to get old! If I was a scrapbooker, I'd dig out a really old picture I have... before we had kids of our own, Bill used to play with this cute little boy and girl who lived across the street from us. Somewhere I have a picture of him skateboarding down the street with one of those kids riding on his shoulders!
Anyway, Billy is just zipping by and I thought some more Cosmo Cricket paper was a perfect match for this card! The Cogsmo paper just screams "Boy!" to me, and the stripes across the middle added to the "motion" that I gave Billy as he goes flying by!
Don't forget there is still time to enter the contest to win the Dress-Up Billy stamps! Just guess how many stamps there are in the new Dress-Up Billy set, and you'll win the set! Enter your guess here! And good luck!
