On Tuesday I posted that yellow, green and blue baby card that I made using my new products from JustRite Stampers, remember? And I said "stayed tuned later tonight or tomorrow and I'll show you what else I made!" Remember? I'm so lazy, I know! I'm finally getting around to it today! Here are the other items I made for the in-store demonstration with the JustRite Stampers! (My apologies to my customers who've been waiting for these pictures!) I was really pressed for time to prepare for this demonstration, and didn't feel like I did a very good job on these samples. However, I sold out of everything I had in stock, and even had to sell the set of Small Letters that I used for the demo to a lady who came the next day from out of town, so I must have done something right! :)
This is just a loaf of homemade zucchini bread, wrapped in Saran. (I gave it away as a door prize at the demo!) I cut strips of Cosmo Cricket paper and taped them around the loaf, and added the "From the Kitchen of" tag! What a perfect new neighbor gift, or welcome-to-our-church gift for someone! In fact, the rental house beside our home has been empty for awhile so I'm anxiously waiting for someone to move in so I can take them a loaf of bread with my stamped design! (We really need someone NICE to move in there, too! It's been a long string of really bad neighbors in that house!)
And what could be better to include with that loaf of homemade bread than a set of personalized recipe cards? These of course, are cards for me but with that JustRite Stamper you can make some new ones in a jiffy! I used some more of that sweet Cosmo Cricket paper to make up these cards... it's so homey-looking! These measure 4 1/2" x 6" so they're a little bigger than a standard recipe card, but have plenty of room to write on them.
I also created a set of 10 mongrammed cards and packaged them in these clear boxes. If I hadn't rushed myself getting ready for this demo, I could have taken the time to create a belly-band for this box, too. I just love these clear boxes, though... what a great little gift to present to someone, and these were quick and easy to make. Here's a sampling of some of the cards in the set. These were made with Bazzill cardstock and designer paper from Fancy Pants.
I've been so busy lately that I didn't even notice until yesterday that my blog counter went past 100K this week! Thank you so much to everyone who contributes to that counter climbing just a little more each week.... it makes me smile to know how many of you visit and like to see what I'm doing! To celebrate, I would like to give someone their choice of 2 new Cuttlebug embossing folders (or an embossing border set with a new folder!) Zucchini is always in abundance in our garden at this time of the year and since there's zucchini bread featured in this post, please tell me what your favorite recipe is that uses zucchini. If you have time, I'd love the recipe but don't feel like you have to do that. Of course, if you hate zucchini and your favorite thing to do with it is throw it away, then that's OK, too! :) Leave a comment by Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET and I'll draw a winner using Random.org!
THANK YOU!!!
Wow, I have only recently come across your blog and LOVE everything you do!! (I'm now a daily visitor) Your "Just Rite" projects are awesome...I think I may have to do some shopping. :) Here's a recipe I've made using zuccini ~ it definitely tastes better with chocolate!
Preheat oven to 350°, grease and flour two 8 inch cake pans
Sift together:
2 1/2 C all-purpose flour
1/2 C cocoa
2 2/1 t baking powder
1 1/2 t soda
1 t salt
1 t cinnamon
In another bowl, cream together:
2 C sugar
3/4 C butter or shortening (at room temp.)
Beat into the creamed butter and sugar:
3 eggs
Stir in:
1/2 C warm milk
2 t vanilla
2 C zucchini, shredded (packed)
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour into pans, and bake for about approx. 1 hour, or when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Frost this cake with chocolate ganache frosting, chocolate syrup, or dust w/powdered sugar.

Whoohoo Tammy, fabulous stuff, my friend!!! I love zucchini bread so I am going to try some of these fabulous recipes - YUMMY!!!! Your projects ROCK!!!! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

Hi Tammy, these are wonderful! I can just see so many possibilities with this stamper!
My favorite is zucchini bread, although I did make zucchini lasagne last night in the microwave, and it wasn't too bad, esp. since I didn't have to turn on the oven. Although throwing them away at this point sounds rather tempting....there are a few in my fridge that are wizened and growing old! Yuck!

I love all your cards - thanks for sharing!!! I'll try out your recipe too. We love zucchini and our favorite way is to saute it and then add stewed or chopped tomatoes with seasonings.

Love the projects made with the Just Rite stamper! It is on my list to get :D. Our favorite zuchinni recipe is fried zuchinni :D.
1 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
1/3 cup of parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 eggs beaten with a touch of milk
olive oil
Mix the first three ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Beat the eggs and milk in another bowl. Slice the zuchinni into 1/4" slices. Dip each slice into the egg mixture and then coat well with the bread crumb mixture. Fry in olive oil until golden brown and tender inside. MMMMM! I have a zuchinni sitting on my counter fresh from the garden too :D!

Thanks Tammy for such inspiring projects! And, Cuttlebug folders vs zuchinni??? hmmmmm... let's see... I'd take the fresh zuchinni if I won the blog candy! hehehe. That's the one thing I miss since my dad passed away - his garden was tremendous and we always grew up with fresh vegetables. I have fond memories of helping him turn the soil and finding worms! I don't have the time or the space to have a huge garden, so I plant a few tomatoes in a pot and two pepper plants and that's the extent of my harvesting!! Enjoy your fresh veggies.

I don't "do" zuchinni but you know I love your blog, LOL!!

Tracy the set you made is sooooo cute. I saw a monogrammed set on another blog and I realize now I just HAVE to have the set!!! Thanks for more inspiration!
PS: My favorite recipe for zuchinni bread has zuchinni, carrots, walnuts and currants. It is the mostest bread I have EVER eaten and you use very little sugar (my parents are both diabetic) so it's really good for you too!
Have a great weekend,
Debi

Tammy,
You've been on a roll lately! Your creations have been things of pure beauty. We had one of our favorite zucchini dishes last night. Grilled sun-dried tomato chicken sausages, zucchini, onions, peppers and tomatoes that had all been tossed with a bit of olive oil. Cut everything up and toss with about a 1/2 c. of fresh herbs, chopped...kosher salt, pepper and garlic bread...YUM!! Low fat, low cal and lots of flavor.

Love Love Love Zucchini Bread -- but sometimes it's fun to take the batter and make big cookies - a little crisper that bread but with the same flavor.

My favorite is fried zucchini. I dredg thinly cut zucchini in flour, egg and then panko bread crumbs and fry. I season with salt and pepper right when they get out of the oil. Yummy. My baby thinks they're french fries! Thanks for showing these samples, I just got some Just Rite stamps but I haven't used them yet, some of the ones aren't out yet and are on B/O but Ican't wait until they get here.

Congrats on all your blogosphere successes!
I have so many zucchini recipes that I love... Double chocolate zuc bread is my fave, my kids really like zucchini chocolate chip cookies. They actually like them better than the regular kind of choc chip cookies! Crazy thing is, my row of zucchini plants is doing poorly and I don't have enough zucchini! How is that possible?!?
Keep up your great work, Tammy.

Super cute set of projects---love the recipe cards and how you decorated the bread!!! Awesome! (and yummy!)

I love zucchini! I love it raw, dipped in ranch dressing. Also, I love it steamed with a little bit of butter and salt. And finally, my favorite is my grandma's chocolate zuchini muffins. She uses whole wheat flour and a few other things to make it healthy.

I've been resisting the Just Rite stampers, but you are certainly making it hard, girl! Love your recipe cards. We used to garden when the kids were young, and one year we had a bumper crop of zucchini. I had run out of ideas to use it all, and one day at a supper of stuffed zucchini, our son said he had a great idea of what to do with the rest of the zucchini on the vine -- "Let it rot!" My fav is raw, either in sticks for dipping or sliced in salad, but I made a delicious ratatouille with it a couple of weeks ago.

I love the Choc. Zucchini cake as well... But, then there is the zucchini, onion, tomato, garlic sauted in evoo then add baked halibut... Yummy...
