In honor of World Card Making Day today, several members of the Kitchen Sink Crew would like to help you celebrate with a few challenges, and PRIZES!
At 11:00 a.m. (EST) this morning, Nicole posted the first challenge for today on her blog!
Other challenges will be posted by the following crew members, at the following times...
Dee - 1:00 p.m.
Julie - 2:00 p.m.
Lori - 3:00 p.m.
Tracy - 4:00 p.m.
Maria - 5:00 p.m.
That leaves only the 12:00 noon time slot to be filled by ME! So here is your challenge! First of all, please create a card that is specific to any of the three upcoming holidays... Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. (This is a requirement of all the KSS challenges today.) And for my challenge, create a card or project using any form of dry embossing and/or scoring details. Faux dry embossing counts, too! And here is my card for the challenge...
As you can see, I used my Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder on shimmer white paper for a pretty background! I also embossed the edges of the white rectangle behind the "joy" letters with my Nestabilities.
If you choose to participate, please leave a comment on the Kitchen Sink blog with a direct link to your card either on your blog or in an online gallery. The deadline to enter is noon Eastern time Sunday, October 5th. A winner for each challenge will be drawn and announced sometime on Sunday evening. All entries from the challenges will have a chance to win Ready 4 Any Holiday, and the New Limited Edition Anniversary stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Also, if you use 100% Kitchen Sink Stamps on your creation, you will also be automatically entered in October's What's Cookin' Contest. The theme this month is "Getting Ready for the Holidays."
The winner of my challenge, which be randomly selected will receive this prize.
This is a clear pail filled with gourmet hot cocoa mix (Chocolate Supreme and Caramel Chocolate!) and a bag of mini marshmallows! Perfect for welcoming any snow bunnies in from the cold this winter.
One more thing... it would be awesome if everyone participating today would be willing to donate their card for something special. I personally would recommend checking out the Cards for Soldiers thread on Splitcoaststampers.
I'm uber-busy today as we have a huge toy sale at the store and I am working from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. So I won't be able to be around during the day today to see what is happening, but I will look forward to seeing lots of fabulous creations when I get home! I will most likely be soaking my feet, too! It's going to be a crazy day!
Have fun, and happy stamping!

I loved your card and the gift pail! They are beautiful. Do you mind me asking what glue you use? I've been using the Ultimate Glue and it always makes my cards bow up.
Thanks,
Terri in Missouri
