For today’s challenge we are going to Button Up for Winter! For most of us, there are a lot of things that need to be done before winter hits, and that’s what we’re doing with our cards today - buttoning up for winter! BUT, it is still fall, not winter, so today’s challenge is to make a fall card and incorporate a button on it! Remember to try to keep it simple, quick and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!! (Oh, and a button can be real, faux, sticker, stamped — whatever, we’re easy!)
Sharon Johnson has a beautiful sample on her blog to inspire you today, and the other designers have buttoned up quite beautifully, too!
I hope you'll have time to play today! Remember, if you upload to Paper Craft Planet or Splitcoaststampers use the keywords ssnotime59 to categorize your card so it can be seen with everyone elses! (Note, this is my first out of three uploads for today! Be sure to check out my Pink Cat Challenge card here, and my Halloween treats here!) Happy stamping!
For my card, I used another new Nestabilities die, the Labels Two. My Fall flowers are from a stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms, the swirls stamped on the designer paper are from a Stampers' Anonymous stamp, and the sentiment is from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I added a Stampin' Up! button on the edge of my scalloped oval, tied with ribbon and hemp twine. I also used the sketch for the week from Card Positioning Systems for inspiration.
Stamps: flowers from Nature Silhouettes (Kim Hughes collection for Cornish Heritage Farms), swirls (Stampers' Anonymous), sentiment from Ready 4 Any Holiday(Kitchen Sink Stamps)
Cardstock: True Thyme, River Rock (Stampin' Up!), designer paper (We R Memory Keepers)
Inks: markers (Tombow), Momento Desert Sand, Potter's Clay (Tsukineko)
Accessories: button (Stampin' Up!), Nestabilities (Spellbinders), ribbon (Creative Impressions).
Oh, I like this!! Love those colors and what a great design!
