The Design Team girls over at Papercraft Planet are working on cards and projects with a theme of Gratitude this month. So appropriate for November, wouldn't you say? So I spent quite a bit of time running through all the stamps in my studio that have a theme of thanks or gratitude. Of course, my thoughts consistently turned to my Limited Edition 1- year Anniversary set from Kitchen Sink Stamps with it's terrific assortment of thank you stamps! This particular one is my favorite with the little play on words and aquatic theme! So I thought, what better way to say thanks t someone than with a bowl full of fish! (Swedish fish, that is! I am SO addicted to these things!)
To create my fish bowl, I first scored a folded a piece of 8 1/2" x 11 cardstock at 5", 5 1/2" and 6" to form a solid base for the bowl to sit up on. Then I traced around my largest petite oval Nestabilities, but left the bottom hang over the edge (where I'd scored) to create a flat bottom for the bowl. Then I drew a straight line across the top of the oval to create the lip at the top of the bowl, and cut out. A smaller petite oval Nestie was used to cut out the hole, and the Swedish fish are in a cello bag attached inside. (If my directions as clear as mud, let me know and I can try to do a photo tutorial!)
So there's one of my Gratitude projects for this week! Each week, the Design Team girls at PCP will be adding more projects with this theme to the gallery! I hope you'll stop by to check them all out! To see more of their work, check out their blogs listed here!
