My daughter Kelsey is in 6th grade, and this year her class took on a special project. All five of the 6th grade classes made placemats. These will be used on the tables at a local nursing home today for all the residents and their families who will be dining together! During their Thanksgiving Assembly at school yesterday, Kelsey's homeroom teacher chose her placemat as one of the best and she got to stand up front to show it to everyone! Yes, I am one proud Mom, especially given the fact that she used a lot of Mom's stuff to create her placemat! Kelsey used my Kitchen Sink Stamps Ready 4 Any Holiday for the Happy Thanksgiving border, and the little "gobble" in each corner. I think she did a beautiful job!
I wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all my blogging/stamping friends today (and a belated Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!) May you have a joyous day filled with lots of good food, good memories and many things to be thankful for! God bless!
How cute is this?! Your daughter did such a wonderful job on her placemat and you've earned the right to toot your horn about it! These little projects mean so much to the residents of these nursing homes - it brings a welcome touch from home that these folks don't often get to experience anymore. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
