The Sketch Challenge today on Paper Craft Planet is being hosted by ME, so I hope you'll play along! This sketch is based on this card that I created a few days ago with my new stamps from Taylored Expressions, but for my official challenge card today, I turned the sketch on it's side and used my beautiful new Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi-Step Tulip Garden stamps instead!
My tulip is stamped in four steps, starting with a base of SU! Cameo Coral stamped second generation. The next layer was stamped in Cameo Coral first generation. The third layer is SU! Ruby Red, and the fourth layer is SU! Cranberry Crisp. The leaves were stamped in three layers starting with SU! Gable Green stamped second generation, then Certainly Celery and then Old Olive. After cutting out the image with a long rectangle Nestabilities, I sponged Blush Blossom ink around the edges while the cardstock was still in the die.
I hope you'll make time this weekend to play along and upload your creation to Paper Craft Planet! Remember to tag your upload with SK031409 so that I can find all the cards and add them to the Sketch Challenge album! I can't wait to see what you create!
On a side note, would you please join me in giving thanks to God? My daughter Kaylie, who as you all know is a new driver, was involved in an accident on her way home from softball practice yesterday. She was on one of our country roads, and rear-ended a pick-up truck that was in front of her making a left turn. She was pretty upset, but otherwise she and a friend that was with her were uninjured. My mind will not stop wandering to what could have happened, and while we're pretty upset at her carelessness, I'm extremely grateful to be able to still wrap my arms around her today. Praise be to God!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Stamps: Multi-Step Tulip Garden, Ready 4 Any Holiday (Kitchen Sink Stamps)
Cardstock: Ruby Red (Bazzill), Ruby Red, Kraft, Confetti White (Stampin' Up!), designer paper (Urban Prairie by Basic Grey)
Inks: see above
Accessories: ribbon, brads (Gary Burlin), Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder (ProvoCraft).
Praising the Lord with you that your daughter and her friend are both safe and sound! I know that had to have been a scary experience for both of them and I am sure, one they won't soon forget.
This card is stunning Tammy! Very, very beautiful! I love the tulip and I love the colors and the sketch you used. Have a blessed weekend!

Your card is just so soft and pretty and what a great sketch! I just love that ribbon you used!
I'm thankful that your sweet daughter was spared injury in that accident. They say things happen for a reason - perhaps this will be a lesson well-learned for her to be more cautious the next time. I can only imagine how you're feeling, but thank goodness everyone is ok - that's what really matters! Give your DD a hug from me too :)

Your card is gorgeous---I just love these colors you've used. I think you have a wonderful attitude regarding Kaylie's accident. My first reaction would have been anger--but you & Carol are right, praise the Lord she & her friend are okay. I have heard it said many times that teenage drivers just have to have that first little oopsie to bring them down to reality. I am sure she is feeling just as upset--give her a big hug for me too!

Love this sketch challenge and hope to play along today. Your card is FABULOUS! The colors, paper, ribbon...it's just perfect in every way! Smiles, Pam :)
