The ultra-talented Valerie Stangle had this card on her blog recently, and I just fell in love with the combination of colors she used! So much so that I am now stalking her, wanting to know where the ribbon she used came from! :) So today, I used a variation on that color combo to create this card for CPS #65. This card is also for a challenge I do with some of my SCS friends (and yes, I'm a week behind... no one needs to remind me!) Anita issued a challenge to make a card using nothing for coloring as far as markers, colored pencils, etc. I think maybe she had something slightly different in mind, but if I play ignorant I can say I followed the rules, right? Yes, I used markers to do the tree branches, but I didn't use them to color in any lined images!
I was fiddling with the string on the tag a little too much, and the edges of my ribbon started to fray a little bit. My instinct was to cut a new piece of ribbon and redo it, but I decided to just go with the distressed edges! A little change of pace for me, you might say!
Hope you like my design! Thanks for stopping by!
