As of yesterday afternoon, this was the MESS that is my stamping table! Call the National Guard... declare a state of emergency... close down the borders! It's a disaster! I am the kind of stamper that likes to have everything close by, within reach. Hence I have a lot of miscellaneous, "use-it-all-the-time" stuff all over my table or directly behind me on the shelves. Makes for a very untidy-messy space. (Notice the one tool in the bottom left corner of the picture that always has to be within reach... the very necessary diet Coke!)
BUT, the Stamping Angels were watching out for me yesterday and look what I found in a local thrift shop!
I have been fighting the urge for MONTHS not to buy the Desktop Carousel from Making Memories, and now I don't need it! This thing is fabulous!
So, this inspired me to do some major cleaning and reorganizing in my stamp studio yesterday and since today I'm cleaning house and getting ready for my husband and oldest daughter to return from the mission trip, I don't have any stamping time. So I thought I'd share pictures with you today of my Stamping Sanctuary!
I use this corner of the room to display cards I've made and cards I've received from friends. My husband built me that awesome black display board several years ago. That whole counter along the wall can be cleared off for extra space when friends come over to stamp with me! The two chairs facing each other on the opposite side of the table is where either one of my daughters come to sit and watch TV while I'm stamping. I love it when they do that!
More diplay and storage space.
Here's the opposite side of the room. It's easy to just scoot my chair around my long table to get to my sewing machine. I store all my wood-mounted stamps on that metal display rack I rescued from going to the dumpster at the store. On the far left is some of my paper and cardstock storage (also another awesome thing my husband built me!)
This is that "within arm's reach" area directly behind me when I'm working. I can just spin around in my chair, scoot around and grab whatever I need! Those are 4 long dowel rods in the upper left corner holding my ribbon spools. There's also ribbon in the white basket below, and in the little 3-drawer storage unit on the lower shelf, AND ribbon scraps in the container to the left of the drawers. There are also smaller spools in the glass cookie jar on the second shelf! And in case you're wondering... no, it's not enough! :)
And here's my new little lazy Susan, with all the little cubbies filled up with my necessities! I LOVE IT! My acrylic blocks are there on the top right, and that blue organizer holds more items inside and out!
And look... I don't even have to pick up the remote! Just turn the unit so the remote is aimed at the TV! LOL (Maybe it's lazy Tammy and not lazy Susan!)
Anyway, thanks for visiting my Stamping Sanctuary today, and COME STAMP WITH ME sometime soon!!! I'd love to have you over!
