iTunes

Do you use iTunes for music downloads?  If you do, and you're knowledgeable about navigating their system, etc. would you please email me (link in my left sidebar)?  I can't get it to work for the life of me, and I love to have new music so it's driving me crazy!  THANKS!

Editing to add:  I should have been more specific about the problem we're having!  We have iRiver mp3 players.  The songs I've downloaded from iTunes are in MPEG4 format.  When I try to transfer them to our players, it won't play.  I used to be able to fix this problem by burning the music to a CD, then ripping it back to the computer in mp3 format but I can't even get the music to burn, either.

Back to tearing my hair out... thanks for any advice you can give!

Dogwoods

This is our 4th Spring in our new home, and the dogwood tree in front of our house, right outside my kitchen window amazes me with it's beauty every season!  I wish those sweet pink flowers would remain all spring and summer long!  Just thought I'd share it with you today!

The long-awaited day...

... has arrived!  Since December 19th, 2007 I've been waiting for this day!  Today I received via Fed Ex., a pizza box containing 2 free copies of Cards magazine, an assortment of papers, buttons, ribbon, and embellishments, and oh yeah... now that they're done with it, they sent back my card that has been published in this issue!!!  Yep, that's right... turn to page 99 and see my card if you've got this issue!  And if you don't, quick run out and get a copy!  It's full of amazing works, especially that one on page 99!  (In the words of Jan Tinklenberg... Yes, I love myself!)  What a thrill this has been!  Oh, did I mention that this is my first time being published?  Maybe you can tell that from my excitement!  I hope it never gets old!

Thanks everyone for your support!  I would love it if you'd share this excitement with me!  :)

Too tired for words!

What a long day, but totally worth the exhaustion right now since I spent several hours at the Adventures in Stamping convention!  I met up with several of my best stamping friends, and met some other stamping friends who I've only known online up until today!  Below, in order are pictures of me (I look AWFUL!) with Juliana Swanson (Julesiana from Splitcoaststampers), Shelly Kuck (papermoon04 from SCS), and Sherry Cheever (BadSherry from SCS).  Sherry and Shelly are DT members for Rubbernecker, so they were demo'ing there all day.  Juliana got to have some "Mom-time" this weekend and came along with Shelly for the weekend, and they put her to work in the RN booth!  They were all doing some great demonstrations with the Ranger distress inks, and other Ranger products.  I learned a cool, easy technique using Perfect Pearls that I plan to demo at the store next month! 

 

 

You all know about my wonderful friend Darlene (akronstamperdpk from SCS) and I was so glad she was still there today when I arrived!  We ended up running into a new SCS friend Nicole, and got her husband to take a picture of us!  (How brave is this girl to bring her husband along???  I'd never get to spend any money if I did that!)

 

And finally, I got to meet The Man himself... Gary Burlin from The Gary Burlin Company in Cleveland!  I have talked to him on the phone several times, and he and all his employees have been so great to work with me and my inexperience since I started my job at Toyrifix!  They're superbly fast at shipping, which helps me so tremendously when I fail to plan ahead!  It was a pleasure to get to meet him in person today, and had a great talk with him about the possibility of ordering some Copic markers for the store!  You know how much I love those markers!

I don't know if I'll have any new cards to post for you tomorrow, as I'm heading back to spend the day at the Home & Garden Show, but I'll get some fun stuff made with the new stamps I got at the Rubbernecker booth today as soon as I get home!

OK, yeah... I actually just tickled pink to be included in Kristina Werner's Top 10 Round-Up on her blog again this week for her Color Inspiration #6!  This was the card I submitted, and here's the link to her Round-Up for this week!

I'll be off to work at the Home & Garden Show tomorrow morning, then heading to Akron to join some of my best stamping buds at the Adventures in Stamping Convention!  I'll be back at the H&G Show on Sunday, but hope to have time Sunday evening to upload some fun pictures from the convention for you to see what you missed!

RAK from Darlene

I received this pretty card in the mail last week from my friend Darlene!  Many months ago, a few of my stamping friends and I were planning a Shoebox Swap for Northeast Ohioans.  I had seen Darlene around SCS a lot, and knew since her username was akronstamperdpk that she was from Akron, Ohio.  So I sent her a message to let her know about this event we were planning, in case she was interested!  Well, she was very interested and she set about getting to know me without hesitation!  On Saturday, January 26th I had a big stamping workshop for the store that I manage, and Darlene and her friend Sandy were some of the first people to arrive.  She was so bubbly and eager and NICE!  I was thrilled to finally meet her, and in less than 4 months time she has become one of my best friends (and best customers!)  She fits right in with the Buckeye Babes over on SCS, and I am so lucky to call her friend!  Thanks for the gorgeous card, Darlene!  Your friendship means the world to me!

Can you help?

When I look over the stats for my blog, I see a lot of traffic coming from my old blog (www.stamphappy-tammy.blogspot.com).  If you went to the old one, and then came here to the new one, could you leave me a comment and let me know what led you to the old one?  I'm just wondering if I have a link out there somewhere, maybe on someone else's blog that needs to be changed!  I'd appreciate the feedback!

I'm such a loser...

It's been DAYS since Jennifer G. gave me this award on her blog, and I just kept forgetting about it!  I am such a loser when it comes to quickly following up on things!  Sorry Jennifer... please forgive me for being so lame!  :)

I am supposed to pick 5 other blogs to pass this on to, but I seriously can't pick just 5!  There are so many awesome bloggers out there!  So if you're reading this, please know that I think you're fantastic and your artwork is totally deserving of this award!

Back to regularly scheduled programming.... (I'll have my card for Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge up in just a little bit... but first I actually have to go make it!)

  ...because it would appear that no one is as fond of the card I posted this morning as I am!  (Honest, I think it must just look better IRL!)  LOL  Gee, you all are getting hard to please!  :)  I'll have something better for you in the morning, I promise!
