Paper Craft Planet is offering a F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S Valentine’s Day Kit that is all about covering your bases. You get four different, gorgeous cards that will work for anyone in your life -- a significant other, a child, a teacher... anyone! They even threw in a couple of quick and easy candy boxes, including Hershey Nugget labels, and two treat bags for those last minute gifts. All you need to complete this kit is white cardstock, a color printer, scissors and adhesive (pop dots optional). You're welcome to dive into your ribbon and button stash or leave the cards "as is". You do NOT need Photoshop or any other fancy program. The entire kit is a pdf file that will open up with Adobe Reader (which you probably already have on your computer.)
“Hybrid” is just a word that means “computer meets traditional tape and paper crafting.” That’s what you’re doing here -- harnessing your most powerful crafting tool (your computer) and using it to simplify your paper crafting. The best part is that you’ll never run out of these cards -- you can print 20 treat bags for the cost of just your printer ink and paper.
Susanna Boyd and Jen Tapler created some printable pages that you can use to recreate the cards with very few additional supplies. If you want to dress them up, we’ve given you some ideas there too. All you have to do is hit “print”, cut out the embellishments, add some tape and you’re done. You can look like a superstar in under 15 minutes. Guess how much all of this costs? Nope! Not that much...Just $5.00. That's right...The kit is only $5.00. Holy Moly! Endless printing for just a bill with Lincoln on it. Even honest Abe would say that is a deal...LOL!
Just click here to buy this kit...you won't be sorry! (Thanks to my PCP Super Nova Sister Kim Burmeister for the excellent wording for my intro!)
Here are 3 of the cards I created from the kit, and the pizza box with matching Hershey Nugget labels! Before I go any further though, let me tell you.... THIS STUFF IS FUN AND ADDICTING! I can't believe I created all these things and never opened an ink pad or touched a stamp! For just $5, I highly recommend you give it a try! I'm going to turn into a digi-junkie with this fun kit!
With this card, I added a black mat around the outside and mounted the whole thing on Berry Sorbet cardstock from Papertrey Ink (a good match, wouldn't you say?) I also added a black mat behind the little birds in the tree, some rick-rack and a button! It's just so easy and fun to customize the digital designs to make them your own!
With this card, I actually printed an extra one and cut the sentiment panel out of it so I could mount it up on foam tape, and put the rick-rack behind it. I also matted with a little layer of black, added the black brads in the upper corner and popped the hearts up on foam tape, too! Since I made a black card base on this one, I decorated the inside, too.The scalloped piece across the bottom is some extra from my printing of the pizza box paper (see below) and I just scalloped the edge with my Fiskars Threading Water punch. The "Sweet" sentiment is one of the embellishments from the kit, mounted on an SU! scalloped circle.
This card is really fun because it prints inside and out! The stripes, and a sentiment "Be Mine" are on the inside, and the scalloped edge with the polka dots on the front! I added the arrow with some bling, the circular sentiment with a Marvy scalloped circle, and some bling on the exclamation point that I added! I also punched the little heart out from that extra card I printed out from above, and a clear button with silver accent to match the bling.
The mini pizza box is a breeze to make! You print out the patterned paper on one side, then flip your cardstock to print again, and you have the template on the back! All you have to do is cut, score, fold and adhere a few tabs! And here's the greatest part! You can print out these little Hershey Nugget labels for the inside, too! To decorate my box, I colored a Creative Impressions sheer flower with my black Copic marker, and added a pink Prima and a brad! Then I decided to tie it shut with the little ribbon closure on the front. Inside... chocolatey goodness! Perfect for a little gift! There are also some fun treat bag toppers in the kit, and a cute card for giving sweet lollipops, as well as 2 sheets of embellishments!
