Today's Stamp Simply challenge from Sharon Johnson is to make anything with a monogram on it. Card, 3-D items, altered project — anything — let’s just get a monogram included. Monogram stampers are perfect for this challenge, but if you don’t have one you can make a monogram in any fashion — with regular font or alphabet stamps, with punchout letters or stickers, by making a computer generated monogram — anything at all — just monogram something!! I LOVE monograms and find them to be so fun and so personalized — always a hit!!! Can’t wait to see what all of you do!!!
My daughter Kelsey was in my studio last evening, and noticed a scrap of this cool, dotted paper from We R Memory Keepers and remarked about how much she liked the colors. Since her birthday was last week, she needs to get busy on some thank you notes to her friends, grandparents, and Godparents for the nice gifts she received, so for this challenge I decided to make Kelsey a set of monogram thank you notes! I would have decked these out a little more... maybe a scalloped edge at the bottom, or some bling but I've got a lot on my plate right now, and am still concentrating on getting some exercise everyday (a mile on the treadmill for 3 days in a row now!) so these are super-simple! But hey, that's that name of the challenge, right? :)
Be sure to check out Sharon's DIVINE sample on her blog, and these awesome samples from the rest of the Stamp Simply team! (Julie's taking this week off!)
